Opening and creating a Welcome Page
The Welcome Page is the first item that appears if you do not have a database view set to open when you first launch Notes. Notes has a default Welcome Page that gives you a central location from which to access your Mail, Calendar, Personal Address Book, To Do list, Personal Journal, and Search. You can also create your own Welcome Page that brings together information that is important to you from Notes and the Web.

You can create two types of Welcome Pages:


Note If you choose to display your file system on your Welcome Page, you must use Notes with Internet Explorer as your default Web browser so your file system displays correctly on the Welcome Page. See Changing Web browsers for information on setting your Web browser in Notes.

To open an existing Welcome Page

1. Click the Welcome window tab. If the Welcome window tab is not visible, open the Favorite Bookmarks folder on the Bookmark bar, and then click Welcome.

2. (Optional) Click the top border of the Welcome Page that says "Click here for more Welcome Page options." Choose the Welcome Page you want to display from the "Current Welcome Page selection" list.

Tip To return to the first-time Notes setup page from an existing Welcome Page, click the top border of the Welcome Page that says "Click here for more Welcome Page options," then click "Return to first-time setup" in the upper left corner.

To create a new Welcome Page

1. Do one of the following:

2. Use the Welcome Page wizard to set up your Welcome Page.

To delete a Welcome Page you have created

1. Open the Welcome Page you want to delete.

2. Click the top border of the Welcome Page that says "Click here for more Welcome Page options."

3. Click Delete.

4. Click Yes on the "Continue Delete" dialog box.
