If the Archive Settings dialog box is not open, choose File - Database - Properties and click "Archive Settings."
You can click Change to:
If the Change button is dim, and you see a message that an administration policy has a lock, your organization's Domino administrator has set an archive policy for mail databases. Ask your administrator whether the policy is set to client-based archiving. If so, you may need to leave your computer on at the time of day when archiving is scheduled to occur, or change the time on the Advanced page of the Archive Settings dialog box. When a server performs archiving, the server controls the time archiving occurs (once a day at 1:00 a.m.). When your Notes client software performs archiving, your local computer must be on at the time specified in the schedule.

Archiving status information
The Basics page also shows archiving status information from the last time archiving ran.
Note Numbers of documents processed shown in this area may not correspond exactly to the number of documents you selected for archiving. As with replication, archiving is efficient and may find ways to avoid processing every document in a selection or database.
