To encrypt a database
Notes offers three levels of encryption to help encrypt a database to which you have Manager access. All levels of encryption require that a user supply an appropriate User ID to open the database.

1. Open a database.

2. Choose File - Database - Properties.

3. Click the Basics tab, and then click "Encryption Settings."

4. Select "Locally encrypt this database using," and then choose one of the following:

Note To encrypt a database for another person's User ID, click the For button and select the person from a Domino Directory. The only User ID that can open the database is the one that is listed next to For.
