SETTING PREFERENCES

To compress network data for a faster connection
If you have a slow connection to a Domino server, you may be able to improve Notes performance by compressing the data that passes between Notes and the server, if the server administrator also turns data compression on for the server.

1. Ask your Domino administrator to turn on data compression for the server.

2. From the menu, choose File - Preferences - User Preferences.


3. Click Ports.

4. Select the port you want to compress data on.

5. Select the "Compress network data" option, and click OK.
