Creating and using stationery for mail
You can create stationery with text or graphics, letterhead, and a recipient list that you can re-use. This is convenient when you frequently send a message, such as a status report, in the same format to the same people. Click any of these topics:
To create stationery based on an existing memo

1. Open your mail database.

2. Make sure you want the current letterhead as part of the stationery you want to create, and if not, select a different letterhead.


3. Create a message with a recipient list you want to use as stationery.

4. (Optional) Enter any text you want to re-use in the rich-text area.

5. From the menu, choose Actions - Tools - Save as Stationery.

6. Type a name for the stationery and click OK. Notes saves the message in the Stationery view of your mail database.

Tip You can also create memo stationery in the Tools - Stationery view by choosing Actions - New - Memo - Using Stationery.

To create personal stationery including rich text or graphics

1. Open your mail database.

2. Make sure you want the current letterhead as part of the stationery you want to create, and if not, select a different letterhead.


3. In the navigation pane, click Tools then Stationery to open the Stationery view.

4. In the view, choose Actions - New - Stationery - Personal.


5. After the first bracket under Header, insert any graphics or text you want to show at the top of the message.
6. Between the red brackets, insert any graphics or text you want to show just before the body of the message.

7. Between the last two brackets, insert any graphics or text you want to show at the end of the page.


8. Click Save and name your stationery.

To create a message using stationery

1. Open your mail database.

2. Choose Actions - Tools - New Memo - Using Stationery.

3. Select the stationery you want to use and click OK.

Note The date on the letterhead for the stationery may not appear correct before you send the message, but Notes corrects it during delivery.

To edit, delete, or rename stationery

You can edit, rename, or delete stationery that you've created.

1. In the navigation pane, click Tools, then Stationery to open the Stationery view.

2. Select the stationery you want to change.
