GETTING STARTED
Using the status bar, you can:
Tip During a background task with a lot of status information, such as replacing the design of a database, click the status bar, and the history list expands in size and scrolls to show you as much information as possible. See your level of access to the current database (click the key icon).
Tip The Send Outgoing Mail, Send & Receive Mail, and Receive Mail commands on this menu work with both Notes mail and Internet mail.
To modify the status bar
Preferences let you modify the status bar. You can add or remove items and establish the order in which the status bar items will display.
1. Choose File - Preferences - Status Bar Preferences.
Tip If you enable the Progress item, you can set Notes to beep when the task in progress, such as replication, completes. Select "Audible notification when complete."
5. Click OK.
To discard all the modifications you've made and return to the original settings for the status bar, click the Defaults button.
Tip You can open Status Bar Preferences by right-clicking anywhere on the status bar and choosing Status Bar Preferences.
