Selecting and scanning multiple databases for unread documents
You can set up Notes to scan multiple databases for unread documents, without having to open them.

To select databases for Notes to scan

1. Choose - Edit - Unread Marks - Scan Preferred.

2. Click "Choose Preferred" in the Scan Unread dialog box.

3. Select the databases you want to scan in the "Scan Unread Preferred Setup" dialog box, and then click OK. Note that the list of databases in the "Scan Unread Preferred Setup" dialog box displays the bookmarks you have in your Databases Bookmark folder.

4. Click Done.

Tip To scan these database automatically when Notes starts, select "Start Scanner at Notes startup."

To scan databases manually

1. Be sure you have completed the procedures in "To select databases for Notes to scan."

2. Choose Edit - Unread Marks - Scan Preferred.

3. Do any of the following when you are in the Scan Unread dialog box:
ClickTo
View First UnreadView the first unread document in the database that is currently listed to the right of "Database."

Note Press TAB to continue opening the other unread documents. Notes closes the database when there are no more unread documents.

Mark All ReadMark all of the documents in the database that is currently listed to the right of "Database" as read.
Skip This DatabaseSkip the database that is currently listed to right of "Database" and continue to your next favorite database.
Choose PreferredSelect the databases you want to scan. See To select databases for Notes to scan.
DoneClose the Scan Unread Dialog box.
Note The unread count for each database listed to the right of "Database" is listed next to "Unread Count" directly below the database name.
