CALENDAR AND SCHEDULING

Calendar MiniView
If you prefer to not have meeting invitations, Calendar notices, and To Do notices appear in your Inbox, but you still want a place to keep track of which notices you need to act on, you can use the MiniView. The MiniView displays all notices that you have not responded to yet, responses that include comments, and displays the date the meetings or To Do items are supposed to take place on.

To use the MiniView

If you have not configured the MiniView to display your Calendar and To Do notices, you will see a Configure button on the left side of your Calendar under the date picker. Click the Configure button, then click OK to enable the MiniView.

MiniView configure

Once the MiniView is configured, click the down arrow next to "To Do" or "New Notices" to switch between Calendar and To Do notices. Once you have responded to a notice, it disappears from the MiniView.

To open a notice from the MiniView, select the notice and click the Open button.

To remove a meeting invitation from the MiniView New Notice view, select the notice and click the Remove button. This removes the notice from the MiniView, but does not delete the notice and decline an invitation. You can still access the notice from the All Documents view in Mail or from the Meetings view in Calendar.

The MiniView is refreshed at the same interval that your Mail Inbox is refreshed with new incoming mail. Click the Refresh arrow to refresh the MiniView separately.

To disable the MiniView

If you do not want to use the MiniView, you can disable it. You can also use this procedure to re-enable the MiniView again.

1. Open the Calendar and choose Actions - Tools - Preferences.

2. Click the "Calendar & To Do" tab, then click the Display tab.

3. Deselect "Put C&S documents into a special New Notices MiniView for processing" under "Displaying Calendar Entries in Mail Views."

4. Click OK.

5. Close and re-open Calendar.
